SANBORN, Circuit Judge.

These cases were argued and submitted to this court at the same time and by the same counsel. In each case the plaintiff in error, an alien, was arrested about January 2, 1920, by an officer of the Department of Justice, charged with being a member of or affiliated with an organization that entertains a belief in the overthrow by force or violence of the government of the United States, and with being a member of or affiliated with an organization that advocates and leaches the overthrow by force or violence of all forms of law.
