This matter is before the court on defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment (Dkt. # 12). Plaintiff Lisa M. Harrison (“Harrison”) brings this premises liability action in connection with a slip-and-fall incident that took place on August 26, 2006, at a grocery store owned and operated by The Kroger Company (“Kroger”) located at 161 Electric Road, Lakeside Plaza in Salem, Virginia. Harrison originally filed suit in state court. Kroger removed the case to federal court and filed an Answer denying all liability.…
