In this action the plaintiff sought to recover damages for the death of her husband, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the railway company. The specific negligence charged was failure to adequately *539inspect a freight car of another railroad which was brought upon its line. It is alleged that a grab iron upon the car became loosened at one end, and gave way under the weight of plaintiff’s husband, who was a brakeman engaged in helping to move the train; with the result that the brakeman fell upon the track and was killed.
