ERIC ANDELL, Justice.
While an employee of Continental Airlines, Inc. (Continental), Lonnie Butler, Jr. wrote several macro computer programs. Butler later sued Continental, alleging it had adopted and copied his macros, ultimately using them in its new reservation system without compensating him.
