Pending appeal of his conviction for violating 18 U.S.C. § 1014, 1 appellant was released on bond pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3148. Under the terms of his bond, appellant was required to appear before the district court and at such other places in accordance with any and all orders and directions which that court might issue. Appellant was subsequently indicted and convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 3150, for failing to comply with an order of the district court directing him to report to the United States Marshal for commencement of his sentence.
