The Chicago Bank of Commerce was being liquidated by the Auditor of Public Accounts and certain of its creditors brought a representative suit on behalf of themselves and other creditors of the bank against the stockholders to enforce the superadded constitutional and statutory liability of the stockholders. After the cause was at issue the matter was referred to a master in chancery who took the evidence, made up his report and recommended that a decree be entered adjudging the stockholders liable for specific amounts.
