In this appeal, we review the death sentence imposed on Robert Stacy Yarbrough after penalty phase proceedings conducted upon remand of this case to the trial court.

I. PROCEEDINGS

The defendant was convicted in a jury trial of capital murder for the willful, deliberate, and premeditated killing of Cyril Hugh Hamby during the commission of robbery, in violation of Code § 18.2-31(4).
