Defendant, John Clark, appeals from his conviction for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 56V2, par. 1407(b)(1).) On appeal, we consider the following issues: (1) whether the jury was prejudiced during voir dire when a member of the venire, who was a police officer, stated he could not be fair and impartial because he knew defendant; (2) whether the prosecutor’s alleged misconduct denied defendant a fair trial; and (3) whether the State proved beyond a reasonable doubt that defendant committed the offense…
