People v. Seiders

Pursuant to MCR 7.215(J), this Court convened a special panel to resolve the conflict between this Court’s partially vacated opinion (section I only) in People v Seiders, 259 Mich App 538; 675 NW2d 611 (2003), and this Court’s prior opinion in People v Johnson, 205 Mich App 144; 517 NW2d 273 (1994). We conclude that Johnson was wrongly decided, and therefore affirm the trial court’s denial of defendant’s request for credit against his Michigan sentence for time served in jail.
