WELCH, Senior Judge:

The appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of a military judge alone. In accordance with his pleas he was convicted of theft of two telephone calling card numbers, stealing two video game cartridges, and of ten specifications of obtaining telephone services under false pretenses, in violation, respectively, of Articles 121 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice [UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. §§ 921, 934. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for 5 months, forfeiture of $200 pay per month for 5 months, and reduction to pay grade E-l. The convening…
