| iDefendant, William Felix Vail, was indicted for the 1962 second degree murder of his wife, Mary Horton Vail, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1. On November 13, 2013, the State filed a “404(B) Notice,” wherein it advised Defendant that it intended to introduce at trial evidence of the 1973 disappearance of his then-girlfriend, Sharon Hensley, and the 1984 disappearance of his second wife, Annette Carver-Vail.
