HARWOOD, Justice.1

Houston County Health Care Authority d/b/a Southeast Alabama Medical Center *799d/b/a Dothan Surgery Center (“SAMC”) appeals pursuant to Ala.Code 1975, § 6-5-642, from the order of the Houston Circuit Court certifying a class action in a lawsuit pending against SAMC. We vacate the class-certification order and remand the case for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
