This is an action of ejectment for eighty acres of land in Daviess county. William B. Mason was the patentee of said land, and died seized thereof in 1859, and the plaintiffs are his sole heirs at law. The defendant claims title under a tax deed from the collector of Daviess county, executed on the fourteenth day of March, 1876, and recorded on the same day, and purporting to have been "made in pursuance of a sale by the collector in October, 1873, for the taxes of 1872.
