In late December, 2013, Derek A. Thomas was arrested and brought to Fayette *362County Prison (“Prison”).1 Mr, Thomas was screened for suicide risk and other medical conditions by Correctional Officer Joseph Barnes and, later that evening, by Prison Nurse Shannon DeLorenzo.
