Following a jury trial, Otis Williams was convicted of armed robbery, aggravated assault, hijacking a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony upon Melanie Fisher. He was indicted for but found not guilty of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony upon Susannah Barnes. Williams claims that the trial court erred by admitting similar transaction evidence, refusing to admit a hearsay statement and refusing to require an alibi witness to testify. He also claims that his trial counsel was ineffective.…
