MEMORANDUM & ORDER

DEARIE, District Judge.

After more than three years litigating essentially the same claims involving essentially the same parties in the New York state courts, respondents in the state action commenced this federal suit. At stake in both the state and federal litiga- tions is control of the Hindu Temple Society of North America (the “Society”) and its temple, located in Queens County, New York. Plaintiffs seek to enjoin the New York Supreme Court and various individual defendants from establishing a voting membership in the Temple that will elect a new Board of Trustees.…
