OPINION OF THE COURT

DeFORD, Judge:

The appellant was convicted, pursuant to his pleas, of possession and sale of heroin in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) (10 U.S.C. § 934). He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for 19 months, total forfeiture of pay and allowances, and reduction to the grade of Private E-l.
