In a petition filed November 19, 1982, James Crawford (“plaintiff”) alleges he was born June 9, 1962, and that Thomas Page Fenton and Louise Fenton (“defendants”), each a duly licensed physician, “undertook to deliver plaintiff.” Plaintiff further alleges that as a direct and proximate result of medical malpractice by both defendants prior to and during his delivery (itemized in 17 specific assignments of negligence), plaintiff “was caused to suffer irreversible brain damage.” Plaintiff seeks damages for permanent and total disability, including the cost of nursing care…
