The case of plaintiff William Gasperini’s lost slide transparencies is before us once again, this time on appeal from the district court’s judgment granting defendant The Center for Humanities, Inc.’s (“the Center”) renewed motion for a new trial unless Gas-perini accepted a remittitur of $75,000 from the jury’s original verdict awarding him damages of $450,000. Gasperini accepted remit-titur and was awarded reduced damages of $375,000 plus prejudgment interest. The Center appeals.
