PLEASANTS, Associate Justice.

This is a suit by appellee against the appellants to recover the value of material furnished and labor performed by appellee under a written contract by the terms of which he agreed, in consideration of the sum of $1850 to be paid to him by the. appellants, to furnish the material and labor necessary in .the construction of certain- improvements upon premises owned by appellants in the city of Houston. -
