The Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1701 et seq., was originally enacted in 1968 to protect relatively unsophisticated land buyers from the potentially sharp dealing of professional developers. Its provisions generally require developers of large, multi-lot residential properties to make various disclosures about the lots available for sale, and to include certain terms in sales contracts.
