The Central Michigan Savings Bank was organizéd under. Act No. 205, Laws of 1887, with a commercial department and a savings department. On the 18th day of April, 1893, said bank, being unable to meet the then current demands upon it, closed its doors, and conducted no business thereafter. On May 4, 1893, the Commissioner of the Banking Department of the State filed a bill in the circuit court of Ingham county, alleging the insolvency of said bank, and praying for the appointment of a receiver for said bank. On May 8, 1893, plaintiff was appointed such receiver, and qualified as such.…
