A jury returned a verdict finding Kirk William Rhoden guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Rhoden appeals his conviction, asserting that the trial court erred by failing to suppress statements he made to police during what he contends was an improper two-step interrogation procedure. Rhoden also appeals his sentence, asserting that the trial court erred by imposing legal financial obligations without considering whether he had the ability to pay them.
