OPINION OF THE COURT

TELLITOCCI, Judge:

A panel composed of officer and enlisted members sitting as a general court-martial convicted appellant, contrary to his pleas, of two specifications of rape in violation of Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. § 920 (2000 & Supp. V; 2006 & Supp. I). The panel sentenced appellant to a dishonorable discharge, . confinement for fifteen years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to the grade of E-l.
