BRUCHHAUSEN, District Judge.

This is a motion by the plaintiff for a preliminary injunction in an action for unfair competition and trademark infringement.

There is no substantial dispute of the facts. It appears that the plaintiff’s business was founded in 1880; that for the past seventy-five years it has been actively engaged in the manufacture of various kinds of hand tools and measuring instruments; that for many years the ■company has referred to and identified itself by the name “Starrett” in advertising through catalogues and other means; that it is the owner of United States trademark…
