Defendant, Charles -Thomas, was indicted, tried and convicted in the circuit court of Sangamon county for the crime of receiving stolen property, knowing it to have been stolen. The indictment contained three counts, the first of which charged defendant with receiving seven cases of Philip Morris cigarets of the value of $514.84, the property of Henry A.
