HAMITER, Judge.

A motor bus belonging to and operated by the Tri-State Transit Company of Louisiana, Inc., skidded on the wet, slip pery asphalt surface of the Shreveport-Lake Charles highway about 7:30 o’clock of the morning of August 15, 1938, and crashed into a guard rail of a bridge. It was being driven by an employee, Garland E. Cameron. Aboard the vehicle were seventeen paid passengers, including Mrs. Charles E. Fernandez who was seriously injured. The accident occurred at a point approximately sixteen miles south of the City of Shreveport.
