Defendant in error, hereinafter referred to as plaintiff, commenced this action, against plaintiff in error, hereinafter referred to as defendant, to quiet the title of plaintiff in and to the E.y2 of the N. E.% of section 11, twp. 10 N., range 3 E., and for cancellation of a certain oil and gas lease and an assignment thereof to defendant, covering the land. He alleged that he is the owner of the legal and equitable title to the land, and that he and those through whom he claims had been in the open, exclusive, and notorious Possession thereof for more than 15 years next…
