On the 12th of January, 1923, the plaintiff, Mildred Anderson Bush, was granted a decree of divorce from John Plantenga in the superior court of Grand Rapids. She was given the custody of their only child, Elizabeth Plantenga, now six years of age. On the 15th of March, 1923, Mildred Anderson Bush petitioned the probate court for the county of Kent for the appointment of Peter Plantenga as guardian of said child.
