Naomi Parker was charged with violating a Seattle ordinance which makes it unlawful to carry a pistol concealed on the person without being licensed to do so. The ordinance in pertinent part is as follows:(a) It is unlawful for anyone to:(3) . . . carry a pistol concealed on his person, except when in his place of abode or fixed place of business, without a license therefor as provided in RCW Chapter 9.41; . . .

Seattle City Code No. 12.44.020. She was convicted in municipal court and, upon appeal to the superior court, found guilty by a jury.
