The plaintiff (Blasters and Drill Runners’ Local Union No. 29) and the defendant (Compressed Air, Foundation, Caisson, Tunnel, Subways, Sewers, Cofferdam Construction, Local Union 147) are affiliated with the same International (International Hod Carriers Building and Common Laborers’ Union of America). A dispute has arisen between them with reference to the rights of one or the other to supply the labor for the work being conducted at the Manhattan construction shaft of the Battery-Brooklyn Tunnel.
