George M. Clarke, the petitioner, and his wife, Leslie Gordon Clarke, were married in the city of New York, November 25, 1915. There were two children born unto them, *661Leslie, who died in 1931, and Elva, for whom a general guardian was appointed by this court in December, 1931, The petition for the appointment of the guardian made by the infant alleged her father had abandoned her and that she did not know his address.
