Defendant Charles Lloyd Patterson, Sr., appeals from a final judgment entered in the United States District Court 1 for the Eastern District of Arkansas sentencing him to 330 months in prison, five years of supervised release, and a special assessment of $150, following his conviction by a jury on three counts of aircraft piracy, interference with flight crew, and possession of a stolen aircraft. 2 For reversal, defendant argues that the district court (1) erred in denying his motion to dismiss Count III of the indictment on double jeopardy grounds; (2) abused its…
