Larson, J.:
Raymond Willdnson filed this action after being fired from his management position at Shoney’s, Inc., and having his unemployment benefits challenged. Willdnson alleged claims for malicious prosecution, wrongful discharge, and negligent misrepresentation. A unanimous jury found in his favor, awarded a total of $533,271 in damages, and recommended the imposition of punitive damages. Shoney’s and National Employers’ Council, Inc. (NEC), which handled Shoney’s’ unemployment compensation claims, appeal numerous issues. Willdnson cross-appeals.…
