TORRUELLA, Chief Judge.
Defendants-Appellants Tablecloth Textile Company Corp., (“Tablecloth”), Post & Sherman Textile Company, Inc. (“P & S”) and Stuart Sherman (“Sherman”) (collectively referred to as the “Appellants”) appeal the denial of their motion to set aside a default judgment and for leave to file a late responsive pleading. We reverse, holding that because the notice requirement of Rule 55(b)(2) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure was not observed, and because Appellants provided strong evidence that the damage award was erroneously calculated, the default judgment must be set…
