The relator was the republican candidate for state senator from the twenty-first senatorial district at the election held in November, 1932. This district comprises the first, second, third, fourth and fifth election districts in the city of Bridgeport. In the election voting machines were used in Bridgeport. The relator brought this proceeding to compel the respondent, moderator in the first district, and therefore the presiding officer for the election in the city, to secure a recanvass of the vote in this senatorial district, under a provision of the chapter of the statutes dealing with…
