OPINION AND ORDER

THEIS, District Judge.

I. INTRODUCTION

Following an eight week trial on the issue of liability in this hybrid breach of contract/breach of duty of fair representation case brought pursuant to section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947, 29 U.S.C. § 185, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff class.
