OPINION

Before BURKE, C.J., and RABINOWITZ, MATTHEWS and COMPTON, JJ. PER CURIAM.

This is an appeal by Judith B. Allen, who was denied unemployment compensation on the ground that she had a “reasonable assurance” of reemployment. For the reasons set forth below, we conclude that the denial of benefits was proper.

I. FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

During the 1979/1980 school year, Allen was employed as a noncertified bilingual instructional aide with the Northwest Arctic School District in Kotzebue. Allen worked six to six-and-a-half hours a day, five days a week. The school district therefore…
