—In an action, inter alia, to re*726cover damages for defamation, the plaintiff appeals, as limited by his brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Dye, J.), dated March 27, 2000, as granted that branch of the defendants’ cross motion which was to dismiss the complaint pursuant to CPLR 3215 (c).

Ordered that the order is affirmed insofar as appealed from, with costs.
