The plaintiff, Jorge Pizarro, filed this action for damages against six current and former members of the New Haven Police Department in Connecticut Superior Court on February 21, 2006, alleging violations of his rights under the United States and Connecticut Constitutions, false imprisonment, and assault and battery. The defendants removed the action to this Court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1441 and 1446.
