This was a bill filed by James L. Applegate, defendant in error, against Fannie J. Henry, plaintiff in error, together with other defendants, to enforce a mechanic’s lien. Plaintiff in error was the owner of property in the city of Monmouth upon which there was an old dwelling house which she desired to remodel and improve, and on ' August 4, 1897, she entered into a written contract with defendant in error to do the work according to plans and specifications furnished' by him, for $975.
