OPINION

SAROKIN, District Judge.

INTRODUCTION

The court is called upon in this matter to issue the “Great Writ,” long recognized as “the best and only sufficient defense of personal freedom.” 1 The petitioners, convicted of a triple murder that took place nearly 20 years ago, continue to protest their innocence and allege that serious violations of their constitutional rights occurred at trial.
