The defendant was arrested on October 31, 1981, and was convicted in the Manchester District Court (Capistran, J.) for driving while intoxicated, first offense, a violation, RSA 265:82 (amended by Laws 1983, 373:10). He was fined $250 and his license was revoked for sixty days. The defendant appealed to the superior court, where he demanded a jury trial.
