This is a writ of error to a judgment of the circuit court of Botetourt county, rendered on the verdict of a jury for two thousand dollars in an action at law for damages.
The action was case, and the only issue was on the plea of “not guilty.” The declaration contained five counts. The first count was for alleged slanderous words, the second for insulting words under the statute, the third for libel, the fourth for malicious prosecution, and the fifth for false imprisonment.
