In an action of ejectment, a verdict was directed in favor of the defendants. Judgment followed, and the plaintiff took a writ of error.
The premises consist of the undivided half of a small parcel of land bordering upon 'the shore of the St. Mary’s river, called “Private Land Claim No. 95,” at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. It adjoins private claim No. 96, which also borders upon the river. This parcel was patented by the federal government to Sheldon McKnight in 1874.
