The Beaumont Lumber Company instituted this suit against several defendants, including appellant, seeking to establish a debt against Whittle & Talbot and to foreclose an alleged lien on the real property involved. Appellant answered, claiming that Whittle & Talbot owed him $1634.74 secured by a mechanic’s lien on said real property, and asked for judgment for said amount against Whittle & Talbot and the owner of the real property, and for a foreclosure of his alleged lien.
