AMON, Chief Judge.

Plaintiff Edward Adedeji brought this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging various constitutional violations and state law claims against the City of New York (the “City”) and Police Officer John Hoder. After a three-day trial, a jury determined that Officer Hoder had used excessive force in violation of Adedeji’s Fourth Amendment rights and awarded Adedeji zero dollars in compensatory damages, $1 in nominal damages, and $1,000 in punitive damages.
