These suits were brought in the superior court of Habersham county, state of Georgia, against the Southern Railway Company, and were removed by the latter to the United States Circuit Court. Mrs. King sought recovery for the death of her husband, and Inez, a minor, sued by next friend for personal injuries which she had sustained. The grounds of negligence set out in both petitions are practically the same.
