The Consolidated Engineering Company and J. A. Muir and Joseph Eromherz, sued the defendant town for the sum of *616six thousand two hundred and five dollars and five cents as being balance due to them under a contract which was made between the Consolidated Engineering Company and the Town of Crowley on the 27th of November, 1897, for the erection of electric lights and water works in said town, in accordance with certain plans and specifications agreed upon.
