In these consolidated appeals, codefendants Robert Anderson and John J. Stinson challenge their convictions and sentences, which were received after a joint jury trial held between August 19, 1985, and August 28, 1985. Defendant Anderson was tried on a three-count information alleging murder in the first degree for the death of Diane James, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, assault with intent to do greatly bodily harm less than murder upon Curtis McMiller, MCL 750.84; MSA 28.279, and assault with intent to murder Helen James, MCL 750.83; MSA 28.278.
